for individuals whose professional and academic credentials allow eligibility for IBOSP certification as a sexuality therapist, educator, counselor, coach or professional, adhering to the criteria set forth by the Board of Directors. Certified Members in good standing are eligible to vote in elections, and to serve on designated committees.

for individuals who have less than five years’ experience in the field of sexuality, and who do not yet have IBOSP certification in any of the principal certification categories, e.g., therapist, educator, counselor, coach or professional. This category includes graduate students in their first graduate degree program, but not students in undergraduate programs (see Student Membership for more details). Once an Early Professional Member is eligible for certification with IBOSP, they must upgrade to Certified Member. An Early Professional Member in good standing is eligible to vote in elections, and to serve on designated committees.

Corporate Members are not eligible for IBOSP certification as a therapist, educator, counselor, coach or professional, but those in good standing are eligible to vote in elections, and to serve on designated committees.
