This skill building session will aim to Increase supervisor and educators sex positivity when supervising and teaching.
Presenter Bio: Dana Kirkpatrick
Dana L. Kirkpatrick, founder of Calm Pittsburgh, employs an eclectic approach — focusing on each client’s unique experience. She has a genuine interest in providing tools which assist clients along their path to mental health satisfaction, and operates from a collaborative approach — which includes the client as an active participant in the therapeutic process.
Dana’s past experience consisted of working with families whose children were on the autism spectrum starting her path into the world of Neurodivergency. She also has gained extensive experience working with couples on various issues, helping to guide them on a path of relationship health and satisfaction.
Her work as a Certified Sex Therapist and Sex Therapy Supervisor through the internationally recognized AASECT organization has gained her notice in the field. She is also certified through the International Board of Sexuality Professionals IBOSP, as a Certified Sex Therapist.
Dana’s complex medical state (young adult breast cancer survivor, BRCA2 carrier, young Diabetic,) and her own ADHD taught her much about managing stress, assertiveness, self advocacy and living life to the fullest. Dana’s clients will never be without support, guidance, and resources, as she helps clients cultivate tools and processes necessary to reach their goals and find their own place of calm.
She takes an active interest in cancer and sexual advocacy and serves on the advisory board for the One Herd Campaign for Elephants and Tea.
