Whitney Howzell, PhD, LCSW-S, MEd, MPH, CSAT

Dr. Whitney Howzell is a US Army Veteran, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, holds master’s degrees in public health and education, and a Ph.D. in Human Sexuality Studies from Widener University. She also has extensive experience and training cognitive behavioral therapy, problematic sexual behavior, addiction issues, attachment, trauma related issues, specifically racialized trauma, and various mental issues that impacts young adults and African Americans. In addition to her work as a psychotherapist, Whitney is the Executive Director of the Claudia Black Young Center at Meadows Behavioral Healthcare, where much of her work is centered on treating emerging adults and families with behavioral and emotional issues, trauma, sexual compulsive behavior, and sexual trauma. Whitney serves on the IBSOP board of directors as the Certification Committee Chair, reviewing applications for memberships.
